From the automotive industry to water supply , the Atlas of Industries NRW provides information on 15 important industrial and service sectors in North Rhine-Westphalia . This means that the concentration of employees or companies in North Rhine-Westphalia on a district and district-free town level can be compared to the state average for the industry in question. Information like this allows conclusions to be drawn regarding industry-specific infrastructures, the supplier industry and the situation regarding qualified employees.

The regionalized industry data provide important assistance when deciding on a location. Using the Atlas of Industries NRW, investors can significantly shorten the usually very complex search for information regarding regional data relevant to an industry and systematically compare the different locations in North Rhine-Westphalia.

Easy handling and operation

If you have already selected a commercial site, it is displayed, marked in red, in the map of North Rhine-Westphalia. In the Atlas of Industries NRW you can choose between the boxes "Industry Sector" and "Criterion". After selecting a criterion from both boxes please update the map and activate the key under the map.

The different color coding makes it easy to read off the regional differences in the distribution of an industry. With the zoom function you can magnify the sites and areas in the usual way as you require.

If you have not yet selected a commercial site, you can use the Atlas of the Economy to obtain a general overview of the economic conditions in North Rhine-Westphalia . As described above, make a selection from the areas "Main Feature" and "Specification" and update the map.

Using the zoom tool you can then magnify regions of particular interest to you in the map. Vacant commercial sites are then displayed and can be actively selected in order to obtain further location information.
